Dominion: A Documentary In The Footsteps Of Earthlings

Another documentary that will not be finished in a while is Dominion. The expected release is in mid 2018.

Dominion is the sequel to Lucent. Find a post in Swedish about Lucent here. But if you don't know Swedish let me tell you a little bit about it.

Lucent expose what is happening in the Australian pig industry. I haven't watched the full documentary but from what I heard it has some similarities with Earthlings. I guess brutal ones. And that I do not want to watch again. But I do believe it is important to expose the animal industries cruelty and animal exploitation.

The filmmakers behind Lucent and Dominion seems to be - like many others - fascinated by Earthlings since Dominion will also have some similarities with it. Not at least the layup, since Dominion will explore many types of animal exploitation.

"While Lucent focused mostly on the Australian pig farming industry, Dominion will have a much broader scope as a comprehensive account of the numerous ways animals are used and abused in Australia. By exploring six primary facets of our interaction with animals - Pets, Wildlife, Scientific Research, Entertainment, Clothing and Food - the film will question the morality and validity of our dominion over the animal kingdom."

Viva! Cares For The Hens

Birds are sensitive, social and intelligent animals. It's horrific how they are being treated in the food industry.

Hen - Rörelse för djurrätt

One of the British organization Viva!'s campaigns focus on the egg industry and the egg laying hens. Watch their video here!

Viva!'s Juliet Gellatley Faces Off the UK egg industry

Viva!'s founder Juliet Gellatley speaks in this video showing us the everyday reality of egg laying hens. The way they are being treated is terrible, living their lives in small cages with no sunlight and no place to find safety from the other birds. It's just not right!
A few got saved and will get to live much happier lives thanks to caring people like Juliet Gellatley.

If you want to know more about Viva! and what they do check out viva.org.uk.

Swine - The Movie

All information I have seen about Swine - The Movie is found on www.watchswine.today.

On the website I mention above you'll find a 30 second teaser from Swine - The Movie, a teaser I'm including further down in this post.

Viva! is a British animal rights and veganism promoting organization located in Bristol. In the video clip you can see that Viva! is presenting Swine - The Movie. This makes me wonder if Swine really is a real full length movie I'm thinking it could be part of a campaign Viva! is organizing. But if that is the case that would be nice as well. We will find out on the 7th of July 2016 I think the movie will be available online that date.

On the website I found this information about the movie:

"Rumours of a recent mutation in the MRSA super bug infecting the UK pig population has prompted Guard-Media journalist Jack Tomlins to go undercover in a pig farm. His search for the truth leads him to make a shocking discovery. Everything hangs in the balance as Jack tries to tell the world what he has seen."

Documentary "Born To Be Free" Exposes Cruel Whale Industry

The documentary Blackfish was about the treatment of orcas (killer whales) and was a big hit. Now another documentary want to expose similar industries abusing beluga whales (på svenska: vitval) and dolphins.

Born to be Free is the name of this new documentary made by Russian filmmakers Gayane Petrosyan (director & producer), Tatiana Beley and Julia Petrik. Born to be Free is about a cruel industry capturing and mentally breaking down cetaceans like beluga whales and dolphins.

I hope Born to be Free will make a difference so the capturing of animals from the sea will end and dolphin shows and all similar shows will end.
Find more info about Born to be Free on Facebook, Indiegogo and in these articles from The Hollywood Reporter and IndieWire
